Wellness visits
We feel that wellness visits are important for adults even if they do not have any known medical problems as they help to build the foundation for a solid relationship between patient and provider.
A wellness visit includes a physical examination, immunizations, blood tests, and a discussion about other health screening tests that may be indicated by sex, age and family history.
Medicare preventive visits
Medicare covers a “Welcome to Medicare” preventive visit during your first year of coverage and once a year thereafter. This visit includes a review of your medical and social history related to your health and education as well as counseling about preventive services, including certain screenings, immunizations and referrals for other care if needed.
It also includes a review of your potential risk for depression, your level of safety and a mini mental status exam that screens for early signs of dementia.
In-office lab analyses
Our laboratory is a Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments certified laboratory following all regulations mandated by the federal government and the Indiana State Department of Health. It is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment leased from Roche Diagnostics and Beckman Coulter.
Early detection is the single most important advantage a patient can have to survive life-threatening diseases. The equipment in our office provides the tests our physicians need to aid in the diagnosis and management of a variety of acute and chronic diseases, from high cholesterol to prostate cancer and many more.
