Dr. Lana Bucchino is originally from Russia, studying medicine at the State Urals Medical Academy and serving her internship and residency at the State Regional Hospital in Yekaterinburg, Russia, before practicing in Russia, then Ball Memorial Hospital. She has been with Internists Associated since 2003.

“I always wanted to be a doctor,” says Dr. Bucchino (the “ch” is pronounced more like “key” Boo-key-no). “I wanted to have a job that would help people.”

Wanting a better life, Dr. Bucchino came to the United States with, as she says it, “only $300 and my education.” Now, she says, “I really like my job. I like my patients. It became my home.”

In addition to her primary care duties. Dr. Bucchino offers non-invasive aesthetic procedures such as Botox injections and derma fillers through her business Lana Cosmetic.

Dr. Bucchino is married to husband Andrew and has a daughter, Natasha, who has followed in her mother’s footsteps and recently graduated from medical school. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, reading and winter sports.
